Position Overview

The HR Manager enhances the organization’s human resources by developing, directing, and administering human resources activities and policies. This position reports to the VP of Supply Chain. The HR Manager plays an integral role in implementing strategy, driving change, and achieving strong business results. Through this ownership of HR activities, the HR Manager works to position Woodgrain as the employer of choice. Areas of focus include recruiting, retention, and rewarding of employees. A high level of human resources expertise, leadership, and business acumen is needed in order to assist site management in achieving business objectives.

This role isn't remote and is based out of our Lawrenceville, GA office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all recruiting efforts, including but not limited to: job posting, interviewing, hiring events
• Coordinate retention and succession planning efforts
• Coordinates and develops rewards programs
• Manage and maintain driver FMCSA qualification files
• Schedule and complete DOT and safety verifications
• Manage benefits administration, employee relations, training & development, compensation, performance management, policy implementations, onboarding, and employment laws.
• Partner with department managers for safe and effective employee practices.
   

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and 3-4 years of HR experience OR Master's degree in Human Resources or related field and 1-2 years of experience.
• Human Resources certification.
• Knowledge and experience with DOT and FMCSA regulations preferred.
• Highest level of professional conduct and integrity.
