Biochemistry Research Assistant
The biochemistry division is seeking a research assistant to express and purify carbohydrate related enzymes. The individual in this position will also work as a member of the production team responsible for a diverse line of products.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Expression, purification and biochemical characterization of the proteins/ enzymes.
- Writing and executing protocols with minimal guidance.
- Assistant product management in support of catalog sales.
- Maintain detailed documentation of working protocols, vialing records, and substrate
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum MS in biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology or relevant.
- Experience in molecular biology.
- Experience in protein expression in microbial systems.
- Experience in life science industry preferred.
- Experience in glycobiology preferred.
- “Good hands” at the bench and an ability to perform careful and consistent experiments.
- Able to manage timelines productively and bring projects to completion.
- Demonstrate significant skills in production while adhering to safe laboratory practices and environmental safeguards.
